VOLUNTEER WITH US

The Greenbelt Museum is a partnership between the City of Greenbelt of Maryland and the nonprofit 501(c)(3) Friends of the Greenbelt Museum. Volunteers play a vital role at the Museum, the organization could not function without them.  The historic house is largely staffed by volunteers each Sunday whose collective knowledge about Greenbelt's history is immense. Volunteers also guide walking tours, help with children's activities, assist with special events, and perform administrative work.  From the FOGM Board of Directors, to those who only wish to help occasionally, we truly value our volunteers.

Community Pledge

The strength of Greenbelt is diverse people living together in a spirit of cooperation. We celebrate all people. By sharing together all are enriched. We strive to be a respectful, welcoming community that is open, accessible, safe and fair.

Preserving and sharing the New Deal history of an experimental planned community built by FDR in suburban Maryland in 1937 and still thriving today.
