2018 Retro Town Fair

Historic House Grounds

10 Crescent Road

Greenbelt, MD 20770

As a part of our Greenbelt Labor Day festivities, the Greenbelt Museum held a Retro Town Fair on the grounds of the Historic House. Our Retro Town Fair is much like those the earliest Greenbelters enjoyed starting in 1939. Ribbons were awarded for the best entries in a number of categories: flowers, vegetables, baked goods, canned goods and needlework/sewing. We also introduced a new "Legacy" handcraft category that showcased works created by entrants or their family members over 10 years ago.

Many thanks to all of our participants for entering!

Community Pledge

The strength of Greenbelt is diverse people living together in a spirit of cooperation. We celebrate all people. By sharing together all are enriched. We strive to be a respectful, welcoming community that is open, accessible, safe and fair.

Preserving and sharing the New Deal history of an experimental planned community built by FDR in suburban Maryland in 1937 and still thriving today.
