Tour the Museum House All Decked Out for the Holidays!

Megan Searing Young

A Christmas tree with lights on is positioned in the living room of the Museum house. A menorah sits on a the nearby desk.
The Museum's Historic House is decorated for the holidays! We proudly display both a menorah and Christmas decorations.

If you couldn't make our Deco the Halls event, there are other opportunities to come for a tour of the historic house or take a walking tour. Both are fun things to do if you have friends or family visiting or just want to learn more about Greenbelt's history! Reserve your tickets today via Eventbrite. Tickets are available for the Museum house on November 27, December 11, and December 18. A walking tour is scheduled for Saturday, December 17.

If you have a group of friends or an organization that might be interested in booking a tour, please let us know. We love group tours! This past year we've hosted a variety of groups including the National Town Builders Association, students from a University of Maryland class on race and public policy, residents from Riderwood, and a local Boy Scout troop, among many others! To book a group tour, send an email to education@greenbeltmuseum.org.

Community Pledge

The strength of Greenbelt is diverse people living together in a spirit of cooperation. We celebrate all people. By sharing together all are enriched. We strive to be a respectful, welcoming community that is open, accessible, safe and fair.

Preserving and sharing the New Deal history of an experimental planned community built by FDR in suburban Maryland in 1937 and still thriving today.
