We hope you'll join us on Sunday, June 5, from 1pm-3pm for a quick walk through of the first floor of 10B Crescent! Though we've proceeded with our lecture series, group walking tours, and other Museum activities since the pandemic began, we have been cautious about reopening in an effort to keep our visitors, volunteers, and staff safe in the small spaces of the house. Roughly 400 square feet per floor makes social distancing difficult! We also wanted to wait for warm enough weather that we could keep the downstairs doors open to provide maximum air circulation.
The quick tours on Sunday, June 5, are free and you do not need to sign up in advance. However, going forward, we are moving to a timed ticket entry system which will allow us to provide a better visitor experience overall. House tour tickets ($5 per person) must be purchased in advance through Eventbrite (scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page for ticket options). Paid tickets for upcoming walking tours ($10 per person) will be available on Eventbrite also, though we will continue to offer free walking tours on specific dates throughout the year including over Labor Day weekend.
If you are interested in scheduling an outdoor walking tour for a group (five or more people), please contact our Education/Volunteer Coordinator at education@greenbeltmuseum.org. We welcome students, seniors, church groups, associations, etc.! We kindly ask that you give us at least two weeks notice so that we have time to schedule tour guides.
