Spring Lecture: Women of WWII - Part 2

Megan Searing Young

For our spring lecture, we're so pleased to welcome back Greenbelter and Museum docent,

Donna Peterson, whose talk, Women of WWII, Part Two, picks up where her first talk in April 2022, left off. As she says, these are stories of brave women who left their loved ones at home to serve their country in its time of need. They are the women heroes of "the greatest generation." Please note the previously planned tour following the talk has been POSTPONED. We apologize for any inconvenience! The event is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Greenbelt Museum, the Recreation Department, and the City of Greenbelt.

The talk is a FREE, IN-PERSON event. We do not require registration in advance, but if you register, you will receive reminders for the event. The talk will take place in the multi-purpose room (Room 201) of the Greenbelt Community Center at 15 Crescent Road, Greenbelt, MD. Free parking is available on site.

Community Pledge

The strength of Greenbelt is diverse people living together in a spirit of cooperation. We celebrate all people. By sharing together all are enriched. We strive to be a respectful, welcoming community that is open, accessible, safe and fair.

Preserving and sharing the New Deal history of an experimental planned community built by FDR in suburban Maryland in 1937 and still thriving today.
