Pride Day Recap!

The Museum's first Pride Day took place on Sunday, June 23 and we welcomed about 30 visitors over the course of the day! Our guests had the opportunity to take a quick tour of the Museum house, make a card in support of a queer young person, make a 'zine, or make rainbow-colored paper chains.

We were thrilled to see many new faces, some of whom commented that it was their first visit to the Museum house. We proudly partnered with Queer Youth Assemble, an organization founded by and for young people who identify as queer. Their tag line is "assembling a world by queer youth for queer youth."

The event was also covered by the Greenbelt News Review. See page 12 for the article.

Thanks so much to everyone who visited!

Community Pledge

The strength of Greenbelt is diverse people living together in a spirit of cooperation. We celebrate all people. By sharing together all are enriched. We strive to be a respectful, welcoming community that is open, accessible, safe and fair.

Preserving and sharing the New Deal history of an experimental planned community built by FDR in suburban Maryland in 1937 and still thriving today.
