Starting at the Historic House, 10 Crescent Road

Noon - 4 pm: Meet at the Museum

Take a break from the festivities and beat the heat on the shady grounds of the Museum! Relax, reconnect and reminisce with friends old and new. Share photos, memories and peruse old yearbooks. Light refreshments will be available. The Historic House will also be available for quick tours.

Sunday, Sept 2

1 - 5 pm: Historic House Tours, 10 Crescent Road

Take a tour of the Historic House for a peek into life during the New Deal era. Visit our shop to find a unique gift!

1 - 4 pm: Retro Town Fair

The Retro Town Fair is BACK and will take place on the grounds of the Museum house at 10B Crescent. Our Retro Town Fair is much like those the earliest Greenbelters enjoyed starting in 1939. Ribbons will be awarded for the best entries in a number of categories: flowers, vegetables, baked goods, canned goods and needlework/sewing. Entries accepted 10am-11:30am and must be accompanied by a completed submission form. Click here for the form. Entries will be on display from 1-4pm. All items must be picked up between 4-5pm. Questions? Please email or call Education and Volunteer Coordinator, Sheila Maffay-Tuthill at education@greenbeltmuseum.org or 240-542-2064. This event will go on rain or shine!

Community Pledge

The strength of Greenbelt is diverse people living together in a spirit of cooperation. We celebrate all people. By sharing together all are enriched. We strive to be a respectful, welcoming community that is open, accessible, safe and fair.

Preserving and sharing the New Deal history of an experimental planned community built by FDR in suburban Maryland in 1937 and still thriving today.
