Docents Celebrated at Event

Greenbelt Museum Staff

The FOGM Board and Greenbelt Museum staff honored and thanked our dedicated volunteers at the annual docent dinner held June 9. Greenbelt's mayor, Emmett Jordan (on the far right in the picture) joined docents, FOGM Board members, and guests to dine al fresco on the ground of the Historic House.

Colorful lanterns were hung, delicious food was served, and most importantly--the docents were thanked for giving their time, energy, and knowledge. We have said it before and we'll say it again: we could not do what we do without our volunteers!

Community Pledge

The strength of Greenbelt is diverse people living together in a spirit of cooperation. We celebrate all people. By sharing together all are enriched. We strive to be a respectful, welcoming community that is open, accessible, safe and fair.

Preserving and sharing the New Deal history of an experimental planned community built by FDR in suburban Maryland in 1937 and still thriving today.
