The Board of the Friends of the Greenbelt Museum cordially invites you to a presentation by Randy Cohen, Vice-President of Research & Policy of Americans for the Arts, the nationwide arts advocacy organization. Mr. Cohen makes presentations across the United States to emphasize the importance of the arts and arts programs to communities large and small. He notes that "the arts are a fundamental component of healthy communities--strengthening them socially, educationally, and economically."
We at FOGM are delighted that Randy is coming to Greenbelt to share information about how the arts can create a more vibrant and economically viable community. Because we think his presentation has value for all of Greenbelt, we are reaching out not just to our members, but also to Greenbelt arts organizations, elected officials, and the City of Greenbelt. The Friends of the Old Greenbelt Theatre have graciously offered to host this free event on Wednesday, March 13, at 8:00 p.m. at the Theatre, 129 Centerway, Greenbelt, MD 20770. Please join us and spread the word about this important presentation.
